The Dragon’s Tooth parking lot is located along VA311. Start off on the blue blazed Dragon’s Tooth trail. About two miles in, the trail will intersect the Appalachian Trail. Turn right onto the Appalachian Trail for a strenuous 0.7 mile hike to pick up the Dragon’s Tooth Spur trail.
The Appalachian Trail is the centerpiece of the trail system in the New Jersey section of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Most of the other trails connect with and provide access to the Appalachian Trail, and some of them can be combined to form loop hikes. In addition, the park offers a network of unmarked woods roads.
